in good company

since it's monday, and since i always feel like the week after a short week lasts forever, i wanted to start off on an inspirational note. i stumbled upon this quote on pinterest and i love the message!

on a separate note, it's meatless monday once again!  i think i am going to make this old standby from one of my favorite sources for new recipes, the kitchn: orzo with caramelized fall vegetables (recipe here!)

it is so flavorful, and it's even vegan! it's also pretty easy: most of the work comes in during prep time when you have to chop the veggies. lastly, it involves kale, which i absolutely love and it's so good for you :)

mr. cummings said it best

i had a lovely weekend catching up with a dear friend whom i hadn't seen in years. it isn't often that you have time to sit down with someone who knew the 14 year-old you, and it is really amazing how much we both have accomplished (despite looking more or less exactly the same!) 

amongst other things, we talked about how taking the big steps to pursue your passions can be daunting and scary, and i love how eloquently  mr. cummings sums it all up.
